The Last Spring Chem Club meeting was on Tuesday April 26 at 7pm in 225 Julian Hall

We had officer elections, reports from members who went to the National ACS meeting, and

'Rock Band' which was fun and noisy ---

About the Club

The Chemistry Club is a student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society. We are also an ISU Registered Student Organization (RSO)

For the 2009-2010 academic year the ISU Chem Club was awarded a Honorable Mention National Award by the American Chemical Society. This is the second straight year that our Club has received this award.  WE ARE GOING TO THE NATIONAL ACS MEETING IN ANAHEIM CA TO PICK UP THIS AWARD AND THE TRIPS ARE PARTIALLY FUNDED BY SALES OF LAB MANUALS AND SAFETY GLASSES.

The Club also received an ACS travel grant to help fund this trip...congratulations!!

Some of the Club's activities include:

  • Homecoming and Sibblings events
  • National Chemistry Week
  • Chemistry presentations at the Children's Discovery Museum
  • Career development activities
  • Social Events
  • Outreach actvities
  • and outside speakers

The American Chemical Society has recognized the Club as an outstanding student affiliate chapter three times in recent years.
