Endowment Opportunities

Opportunities exist to create named, endowed fellowships, professorships, laboratories, and even a building, if you are so inclined. Giving levels for each named opportunity are determined by the University President and are currently as follows:

  • Re-name the Science Laboratory Building

    Minimum gift: contact the Foundation

  • Named Laboratory

    Minimum gift: contact the Foundation

  • Endowed Professorship

    Minimum gift: $500,000

  • Visiting Professorship

    Minimum gift: $250,000

  • Faculty Award

    Minimum gift: $150,000

  • Endowed Graduate Fellowship

    Minimum gift: $300,000

  • Endowed Summer Graduate Fellowship

    Minimum gift: $115,000

  • Expendable Graduate Fellowship

    Minimum gift: $40,000

  • Expendable Summer Undergraduate Fellowship

    Minimum gift: $10,000

Established Funds

The Department also maintains a number of scholarship and award funds. Gifts of all amounts are important and welcomed to any of these funds including:

The Chemistry Department Excellence Fund provides general support for the activities, programs, and operations of the department. The Fund also helps provide new instrumentation, supports the visits of scholars, and supports local opportunities for presentation of research results by students. Our General Fund also supports several divisional awards and scholarships including:
