In general the Hunter group is interested in understanding the conditions under which beginning teachers of chemistry flourish when they enter the profession. Studies have focused on pre service secondary school science teachers as they prepare to enter the profession. We are also interested in how technology may be effectively used to teach chemistry. We are studying how curricular modifications are implemented by faculty in the University, and team-teaching in a secondary chemistry classroom.
