The 11th International Vanadium Symposium

November 5th to November 8th, 2018, Uruguay, South America

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the 11th International Vanadium Symposium, V11, to be held from 5th to 8th November 2018 in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is a great honor for our country to have been elected as host for this international event. V11 follows the previous successful symposia that were held at Cancun (1997), Berlin (1999), Osaka (2001), Szeged (2004), San Francisco (2006), Lisbon (2008), Toyama (2010), Arlington (2012), Padua (2014) and Taipei (2016). This edition will be the first to be held in Latin America.

This interdisciplinary event will gather researchers from all over the world dedicated to vanadium related research topics including coordination chemistry, catalysis, biological chemistry, vanadium-based drugs, toxicology, environmental and occupational exposure, among other relevant topics. Over 100 researchers are expected to participate in it.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to participate in this upcoming exciting event. In particular, this Symposium will certainly offer an excellent opportunity to the south-american researchers to make contact and exchange ideas with scientists working in the field around the world, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It will be also a great opportunity to appreciate our country, our culture and to show you the Uruguayan hospitality.

I look forward to welcoming you in Uruguay in November 2018!!!
