Chemistry Safety

The mission of the Chemistry Safety Committee is to serve as the departmental advocate for chemical and biological health and safety issues; to continually seek and support improvements in conditions and practices designed to minimize the risk of incidents which may result in injuries, illnesses and/or property loss in the Department of Chemistry.

The Chemistry Safety Committee advises the department of regulatory standards and practices which positively affect the quality of health, safety and our environment in the Department of Chemistry at Illinois State University. The ultimate objective is to foster a safety-minded culture committed to protecting the well-being of employees, students and visitors to our campus.
