Overview
We are pleased to offer a series of graduate level courses that will take your chemistry teaching to a higher level. In these courses, you will learn novel demonstrations, laboratory experiments, and teaching activities along with the fundamental concepts upon which these activities are based. These courses also count towards course requirements for the Master of Chemistry Education (MCE) and Master of Science in Chemistry Education (MSCE) degrees.
What are the costs?
No matter where you live, Illinois State University charges a per-credit hour fee for these online courses. The cost for a three credit hour graduate course for the 2024-2025 school year is $1619.34. There is also a one-time $55 application fee, as long as you stay enrolled. If you have not taken a course at ISU for three consecutive semesters, you will need to re-apply.
How are the courses structured?
These courses consist of a variety of assessments covering the material provided within the course. Although the courses are set up to be asynchronous, you still are responsible for completing assignments by their deadlines.
